Well Mobiado, the concept phone guys, have got a new concept phone that takes that term quite literally. Their CPT001 “objet d’art”, phone looks like the innards of a mobile phone have been inserted into a slab of marble. The idea was to make it look like it was made with materials that were used during the renaissance period. The block of solid block marble making up the body also has gold filled engraved letters and other details.

The touchscreen display is sapphire, and the ‘buttons and watch crown are made from solid gold, with a magnificent gold skeleton mechanical watch movement placed between the Call and End buttons.’ say the company. While making your wallet considerably lighter, this one’s going to need a body guard just to carry it around and not because of its value, because of its weight. It will rip a whole in your pocket clear through your purse strings.
