Microsoft_Natural_User_Interface_Technology.jpg Microsoft has pretty big releases for future in its kitty. The company has its applied sciences group has been working on its latest Natural User Interface that works by using new camera systems. The video here shows Stevie Bathiche demonstrating how children can interact with different sides of a large pane of glass. This is part of Microsoft’s vision of creating smart display technologies and it might begin dishing out its parts in near future of 6 months. The video demo also speaks of “wedge lenses” which pick up activity above a surface via a mounted camera stationed below a flat screen. The wedges are used to send light back out the other way as two separate images thereby creating an auto-stereoscopic image to give the user a glasses-free 3D rendition. The company has also conceded that an official SDK release for Kinect on PCs is on its way. With NUI parts coming up in just about 6 months, techies are soon going to go berserk over endless possibilities with Kinect.
