Microsoft Bing gets major updates and improvements

02.jpgAs steamy as they can get their engines, Microsoft are doing their best to give their search engine a place in the world of Web surfers. Their offering, the Bing search engine, didn't do much to impress the majority of Google users to convert. So the OS giant has introduced a team of advancements that could give the engine a chance to edge nearer to Google's immortally dominant offering (or is it?). Among the upgrades is Facebook integration that shows pages liked by the searchers contacts, improved mapping, a Check-in function to share Web data with contacts and Bing Vision to select text in images with the help of various methods.

Microsoft claim that their search engine caters to 90 million users, after the 19 months that it's been put to task.
