From the designers of the Xbox 360 case design you can expect nothing but the best. And it comes as no surprise that the prototype (of a CD player) that the Japanese design company Hers Design has come out with looks simply divine. From what we can figure out, the player takes in the CD from a slot at the top. The CD then gets pulled down and about a quarter of the disk gets exposed (from the bottom) and you can watch it spinning. Hopefully the children won't mistake it as a magician's finger-slicing trick!

Japan's Hers Design has many modern electronics and appliances in the market under the brand name Metaphys. We don't know if this particular prototype will ever go to mass production.
