Mercedes demonstrates wireless in-car entertainment

Dr. Kal Mos from the directorial bench of Mercedes Benz has given a pretty cool demonstration of what the in-car entertainment systems of the future may seem like. We can see a lot of good things coming from the classic COMAND media streaming service like YouTube video support, Facebook or Twitter integration. There’s also bound to be some cool navigation support via either Google maps or Mapquest. The smart thing is that some of these features make sure that the driver isn’t too distracted by them and have taken appropriate steps to ensure the same.

However appealing and possible this may seem for those who checked out the demonstration, it is still quite impossible until the next-gen cellular network, LTE is available in the US. Remember the Alpine offering we had before?
