Meizu M8 PMP / Phone - The Chinese make a better iPhone

Just when everyone’s keeping their necks stretched to catch a glimpse or a whiff of air from the much acclaimed iPhone, we have some competition for it building up already. This one’s called the Meizu M8 PMP/Phone. I love the last name. However, this one comes with an excellent 3 megapixel camera and a 3.3 inch LCD display. It runs on WinCE 6.0 and supports GSM networks. Loads of features stuffed into this one including TV out and Line in/out. It does look far more promising than the iPhone. However, it’s only fair to judge which one will make it big after using both. It beats the iPhone in many aspects and specs including camera and a more common operating system. The Chinese will be smacking their lips looking at this one.


The price of the Meizu M8 PMP/Phone is not yet known to us. But is a very useful parameter to judge if it’s worth a shot if you are among those who have suddenly realized that your plan of saving cash for the iPhone is not ‘all that worth it’.

    This is exactly the same as the iPhone but a rubbish version. First of all it looks tacky and it uses IE with sucks to be honest. It doesnt just have that appeal that the iphone has, this is just another lousy smartphone or whatever you wish to call it. The iPhone is apple, and it rules.

    Well I know it uses internet explorer and all and runs microsoft crap on it but I mean come on. Half the price of an iphone, some even less than that. I think that when, and if, this hits America, (which it should and if it doesn't then the meizu company is full of morons), apple will have their hands full. Right now that is the main problem with the iphone is the price, and the phone service, which puts a little less than half of America out of the phone part of the iphone. Hope the meizu goes with verizon though.

Apple is just making up for their average products by making a big hype about them and getting the losers who buy their poorly made products to dish out over $500 for a phone with features that you really don't need. for those of you who are buying the iphone i am sorry to say that you will be dissapointed after you get bored of it and it breaks.

    Those of you who are berating this because it uses MS are being ridiculous. I am not a Microsoft fan, but Windows Mobile is far better than Palm OS, Symbian and if it has better features than the iPhone (which cannot be hard to do because the iPhone is highly disappointing) than it is a better device. Explorer may be bad, but not any worse than Safari. My hope is this thing will run a version of Firefox, which destroys both IE and Safari.

    This is towards Russell and Jesus. So what if it has IE no difference between IE and safari. Oh well if there is any difference for whatever reason it is still running on Microsoft. So you should be able to download another browser (on theory), ex: Mozilla Firefox , which is agreed hands down to be better than both IE and safari. Oh and i am pretty sure you cant download another browser on the i phone.

    I´m an Apple fan... If I´d have to choose I would buy en Iphone... no doubt...
    but... for some reason apple only made deals with cingular at&t...

    I live in Argentina... here and in many other places the I-phone is not available. cause there are diferent phone companies... and Apple refusses to go international with its I-phone...

    so This meizu seems to be a good option... anyway... I-phones are being hacked here... and there are some places were they sell them... price... around 900- 1000 US dollars...

    Explorer is the worst!! Microsoft is a bad, complicated, virus prone operating system! This phone another clear chinese knock off of course it will be cheaper because no research was put into the phone.
