McDonalds Japan drops its name to get attention

mcdonalds-japan.jpg McDonalds recently launched the quarter pounder burger in Japan and to get more attention it converted two outlets in Tokyo to exclusive Quarter Pounder shops. Its hard to imagine a McDonald's without Ronald and the golden arches. These restaurants have a sleek, minimalist black interior with Le Corbusier sofas, red and black packaging, and a style quite unlike any other of the company’s previous refits. The menu includes two items: a Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a (wait for it!) Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Will McDonalds continue this trend if the cash registers start ringing? [Gearfuse]
