Maximum Windows 7 netbooks specs published by Microsoft

5-22-09win7start.jpg It seems that Redmond is planning to impose strict limits on types of machines that can run the stripped-down version of the stripped down build of their next OS. Windows 7 Starter machines will be on 10.2 inch screens, 1GB of RAM, 250GB hard drives or 64GB SSDs and single-core processors less than 2.4 GHz. But Microsoft is also telling that many OEMs will just ignore the specifications. But let us see how it goes at Computex, because we are expecting a whole new lot of machines with 2GHz processors and 1GB of RAM with 10.2 inch screens in the near future.
