Marathon win smashed by listening to iPod
The most enjoyable time to go running is in the morning, with the sun almost about to rise and listening to your favorite songs. It is almost a tradition that while running alone you have some company with your head phones. So on hearing something where a marathon runner, Jennifer Goebel, was disqualified from her winning the fist prize during the Lakefront Marathon in Milwaukee, you get confused and wonder why! Why would someone disqualify a marathon runner just because she had her iPod on and thought of listening to some music? Are they equivalent to steroids, these iPods? Or are they some sort of drug that can make you hop like a deer and win marathons? It makes no sense at all!
The lady who is a massage therapist in real life was obviously annoyed as she says - "I wasn't listening to it earlier in the race. I wasn't going to put the music on unless I thought I needed it." Is there any wonder that sport is such a hyped up controversy? I think all the sport officials are high on steroids – why not check them instead of only the players?
