Map showing “zombie” word usage pops out of Oxford internet Institute
In an attempt to find out just how fearful the world is of the nemesis from six feet under, zombies, Oxford Internet Institute researchers Mark Graham, Taylor Shelton, Matthew Zook, and Monica Stephens came up with a map for the same. The map uses Google Maps database and displays the highest concentration of the keyword “zombies” around the globe. Turns out, most of the Anglophone-world residing in large cities fear zombies, while the rest of the world is ignorant of the same, probably fending off mummies and vampires. And to add a pinch of paranoia to it all, the high-concentrated areas could just be the first places on earth to have zombie attacks!
