Manley Labs re-launched, beefed up Stingray iTube Amplifier plays nice with Apple products

stingray_itube.jpg For the audiophile who like to stick to the old school design forms that involve the use of tubes in audio electronic components (I†m a personal fan of this style myself), Manley Labs, a California-based company has just what the doctored ordered. They†ve recently launched a new integrated amplifier called the Stingray iTube. For those of you who will remember the original Stingray that was out maybe a decade or so ago, iTube is a sort of tribute to the same with a few minor tweak of course. I†m sure you†ve pretty much guessed what that entails just from the name, thatâ€s right, the iTube comes equipped with an iPod/iPhone docking port and controls for the same.

Some of the other additions to the ‘upgrade†also include S-video output, a headphone input, a subwoofer output, record out and additional inputs for hooking up your DVD, CD player et al. Of course improved energy storage for the ampâ€s tube for much better audio is something that we had to expect as well. The newly re-launched, buffed up Stingray iTube Integrated Amplifier is priced at $3,400.
