First developed in 1979, Atari’s eternal favorite video game that made it to some cellphones as well, called Asteroids, became a sensation. It still injects the right amount of nostalgia in most of us as we move around space shooting down asteroids that obstruct our way. Arcade games have all the makings of classics for generations to come, I tell you. However, Asteroids is to be taken into a whole new level with a movie whose making is expected to be underway soon by none other than Universal Studios. What’s more is that it is to be produced by Matthew Lopez, the producer of Transformers.

There’s no new of the rest of the crew as yet, but there’s indecision of the storyline as well. I can predict it to be some mission movie with the protagonist(s) deflecting them.
