Maeda’s super robot OmniZero

Maeda_OmniZero.jpg Robots and robots. That is all the Japanese seem to be thinking these days. Maybe they should use this energy to bring back the samurais of yesteryears. Anyway, Japanese robot builder Takeshi Maeda has come out with the demo of the latest and ninth version of his OmniZero robot. It can transform from bipedal fighting machine into a rolling vehicle as well as a walking. The creator can even ride piggyback on the robot when its head tilts back. How bizarre. In the chair mode, it can change direction. The designer showed his robot at Robo-One 16, a popular robot combat tournament that was held in Toyama City where it transformed into car mode and rolled into the ring. The robot has been in creation since 2003.
