LiveStation brings live TV to the iPhone
LiveStation showed a live demo of their new app that plays live TV on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The app isn't being released yet, because they need approval from the Apple App Store. Livestation offers peer-to-peer enabled streams from broadcasters like BBC and CNN. It did release some open software to download for the average user earlier this year. They are not the only ones in this game of course. Live Web streaming is now commonplace from TV broadcasters, and there is Zurich-based startup Zattoo plugging away with some desktop software. The application will only work over Wi-Fi, when it launches on the iPhone App Store.
