Lip reading technology in phones for speechless conversations

lip_reading_tech.jpeg Conversations being overheard will not be a problem once this cool technology from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) makes its way to our cellphones. With the help of the principle of electromyography, the technology enables users to communicate with mouth movements, similar to speech, the only difference being that there’s no sound produced. The message magically gets interpreted and transferred over to the person on the other end of the call. At the end of the day you can be sure that your passwords and pin numbers are secure, especially with so many eavesdroppers around.

There will be several other uses to this technology. Mastering the art of lip reading is quite a phenomenal development by technology.
