LG Xenon 8Mp 3G phone coming this holiday season on AT&T

att-lg-xenon-1.jpg The LG Xenon is the newest offering from LG; the phone reminds me of both the G1 as well as the iPhone3G. It features a full QWERTY keypad, which is accessed by sliding the large 3-inch WQVGA 240×400 touchscreen display. An 8-megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens and Xenon flash, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 3G/HSDPA and all of your assorted acronyms accounted for (GPRS, EDGE, GSM), as well as Wi-Fi and a microSD card slot to bump up the not so useful 100MB of internal memory. There is no mention about its OS and from the looks of it; it does not appear to be Windows Mobile 6.1. Although, the screenshots do appear to have an iPhone OS X clone on it. The phone has a built-in GPS, which will assist you in location and navigation information with the help of network-transmitted triangulation data. A workout app uses the GPS to track your jogging sessions and tell you how many calories you have burned. The phone will play DivX and Xvid video, as well as play all popular music formats.

The LG Xenon is expected to be released in October with specific availability dates, region and the price is yet to be known.
