LG PM80 world's first PDA with DMB

South Korea's LG Electronics Inc. on Sunday launched the world's first personal data assistant (PDA) that can receive and display broadcasts by terrestrial TV service providers while on the move. The new PDA, PM80, is equipped with a new 3.5-inch quarter video graphics array (QVGA)-class LCD monitor and large-capacity battery that allows users to watch broadcasts for two-and-a-half hours. LG says that users can enjoy DMB service while driving at 100 km/h. The PM80 has a SD card slot with a 256 mb card which can store upto 60 minutes of video recorded via DMB. It runs on Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 and includes Microsoft Office for Pocket PC.


Users can switch channels using the 5 way navigation key. There are two varaints MF-PM80T1W (White color) and MF-PM80T1B (Black color). The MF-PM80T1W (White) which includes GPS sells for 599,000 KRW ($ 575) and MF-PM80T1B will sell for 399000 KRW ($ 385).
