At a press conference LG unveiled its latest products, the 55 inch ultra slim full LED TVs. These are LG’s ambitious new product line offering a brighter and clearer screen that competing products mainly because it has a total of 3360 LEDs which is seven times more than existing LED TVs. It also has a 5 million:1 contrast ratio through enhanced dimming technology. Another innovation is the enhanced wireless feature which eliminates the need for image compression. Contents can be sent from DVD players, game consoles or home theatre units with the help of wireless and that too without any kind of degradation. It will cost 7 million Korean wons (US$ 5,500) for 55LH93 model and 7.6 million wons (US$ 5,925) for 55LH95 model.
