LG has decided to upgrade its blockbuster Shine phone, the new version LG-KU970 will come with high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) technology. Wrapped in an elegant metallic case the Shine 3G will pack in 2 Megapixel camera, VGA camera for video calls, Bluetooth 2.0 and MP3 player. With superfast download speeds of 3.5 MB per second using HSDPA it can download a 3MB MP3 file in a mere seven seconds.

The LG KU970 or Shine 3G will be hitting stores in Australia and Singapore early this month followed by a release in other Asian and European markets.
