LG Display and Samsung Mobile Display show off see-through screens

LG_transparent_display.jpg At the FPD International 2009 there were of unique items put up on display. Though it isn’t a novel technology, it came forward from some pretty exciting and promising sources. LG Displays and Samsung exhibited their cool see-through screens. Both the displays use organic materials. The transparent part is often what would appear in black on a normal display. Thanks to the transparent material used in these OLEDs, a fantastic future awaits the world of displays and screens.

LG’s version was a 15 inch screen that provided up to 30% transparency. Samsung showed off a smaller (2 inch) surface pixel counts of 176 x 220 (QCIF) and 141 ppi. It has a transparency of 30% as well.
