Taiwan based Kouwell showcased the KW−7292 fingerprint disk at the Computex. The external hard disk has a fingerprint sensor so that your confidential data remains safe even if the hard drive gets stolen. Specific folders can be encrypted which can be accessed only after the fingerprint authentication. Moreover, data stored in a PC and fingerprint disk can be synchronized via user settings and e−mails in an Outlook Express mailbox can be sent or received from the fingerprint disk via mobile e−mail.

Pricing and availability of the Kouwell KW−7292 is not known yet.
