Konica Minolta to soon develop thumb sized projectors

Projectors.JPG Konica Minolta is developing a projector so small; it will make the recently covered Pico, Dell Pocket Projector, and Aiptek's offerings look like suitcases. The company's tiny projector will be no larger than a thumb drive. The projector apparently uses laser beams and vibrating mirrors instead of light bulbs and lenses. It would be capable of projecting a 20-inch XGA color image from a distance of about 21 inches. Dimensions are said to come in at a miniature 1.6-inches long, 0.79-inch wide and only 0.3-inch thick.

Konica Minolta is reported as saying it will be on the market within 2 or 3 years.
