Kokuyo Japan has announced a dual purpose mouse which has a built in laser pointer. The optical mouse has a resolution of 800 dpi and apart from a left and right button has a scroll wheel which doubles as double click button. The laser pointer switch has a range of 25 meters and is activated by a switch under the scroll wheel. However I seriously doubt if it will be of any help as it is a wired mouse and carrying around out a wired laser pointer during a presentation sucks. Secondly it is not a trackball but a plain optical mouse so you need to have a plain surface to get it working.

The Kokuyo Mouse is Windows and Mac OS compatible and available in Japan for 4500 Yen ($ 38).
