Kodak Easyshare P712
Eastman Kodak Company today unveiled the Kodak Easyshare P712 zoom digital camera, marking a new era with higher standard in “superzoom” category. The P712 with its auto focus system featuring best capture rate allows you to get the shots in exactly the way you want it, be it in a field at a sports event or a play with your kids in the lead! The P712 comes with 12x optical zoom, optical image stabilisation, speedy auto-focus and a 0.07 click-to-capture rate. It’s 2.5-inch, high-resolution LCD screen offers amazing clarity for reviewing and sharing pictures. Kodak has also provided with hot shoe flash connector and optional Kodak P20 zoom flash for enhanced, more flexible lighting control, while the included rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers long-lasting power for more picture taking opportunities. For more advanced users the P712 offers features like PASM, custom and extensive preset scene modes; multiple burst modes for action shooting; three-shot in-camera panorama stitching; a live histogram; 25 selectable AF points; custom white balance with selectable compensation; highlight/shadow clipping displays; and RAW/TIFF/JPEG support. Video capture is done at 30 FPS in MPEG-4 format.
Measuring 108 × 84.2 × 72 mm, the camera weighs 403g (without battery). The Kodak P712 camera will be available worldwide beginning in July 2006, with a suggested retail price of US$499.
