KFC logo the first to be seen from outer space

Taking full advantage of Google Earth and MSN Virtual Earth service KFC has got the privilege of having the first company logo visible from space. Created by tiles the 87,500 feet logo is in the middle of Nevada desert next to the super secret Area 51 base. The stunt marks the revamp of the KFC logo, which now features a more streamlined image of Colonel Sanders. Termed as Face from Space the logo took more than 3000 hours to complete and consists of 65,000 one-foot by one-foot painted tile pieces that were assembled like a giant jigsaw puzzle: 6,000 red, 14,000 white, 12,000 eggshell, 5,000 beige and 28,000 black.

We are indeed all going to hell. Not in a handbasket, as it turns out, but rather a KFC Bucket O' Chicken. Can we at least all agree that when they put the first corporate logo on the moon, we start the armed revolution?
