The Japanese do love VHS, which is the reason JVC has come up with the DR-BH250 DVR which has a 250 Gig hard drive, Blu-ray recorder and the good old VHS. It has the usual stuff what you would expect from a Japanese DVR - two digital tuners and one analog. With the BH-250 you can convert your old VHS tapes into Blu-ray as well. Other features include Memory card slot, USB port and support for AVCHD. The unit goes on sale in Japan early next month for 130,000 Yen ($ 1500).
