JVC camcorders to come with Laser touch - Bid farewell to finger stains
We recently mentioned a new technology called the Swype which is going to ease mobile phone text entry. Another almost similar interface element has been integrated into JVC's new line of camcorders, called the Laser touch, it is common to laptop users and a boon to all those who hate the tiny touch screens to operate a fast paced action sequences with shaky fingers. The new interface system allows menu selection via a touch-sensitive scroll bar and buttons without the need to touch the screen. The difference between the Swype and Laser touch lies in its functionality. The Swype Is mainly for text entry which is a must have in mobile phones, while the laser touch is for simple menu selections.
The Laser touch was showcased at IFA 2008, such a system will avoid all those messy ice-cream stains we now find on many outdoor touch screen enabled gadgets.
