JetLev has been working for quite some time on the water-powered jetpack when it was first sighted in its patent form in 2007. Now it looks like it's almost completed and you could be hurling yourself across a lake very soon. The jetpack employs a flexible hose that gets paired with a separate vessel that house the propulsion engine and other related systems. This apparently improves to a great extent the thrust to weight ratio when compared to a standalone jetpack. It is still going through a lot of test but the company has said that it will be accepting orders for the first model, a 155 HP version, by April this year. Another character perhaps in the making – The Aquaman!
