Japan's Eizo intros monitor designed for the colorblind

monitor_for_colorblind.jpg You may not be aware, but almost 200 million people worldwide are thought to be colorblind. Apparently more than 10 million of them live in the United States. To cater to this sector Japan's Eizo has come up with a unique FlexScan system that will allow colorblind individuals to "see" the graphic displays on its new 24-inch LCD. Through Color Universal Design principles, it employs techniques like lighting, shapes, positions, patterns, and labeling to help those who can't discern differences in color.

Eizo's FlexScan system is available in Japan as of now. No pricing available.
