Japanese Astronaut to throw boomerang in space

doi.jpg It is believed that zero gravity is needed for a boomerang to return back to the throwing spot. But no has tried it in zero gravity, however 53 year old Takao Doi a Japanese astronaut is all set to find that out. Doi is set to travel on a US shuttle in March to the International Space Station, where he will be in charge of construction of a Japanese scientific testing room. Doi decided on the boomerang test after he received a request from Yasuhiro Togai, a world boomerang champion from Osaka. Doi has already received training from the world champion on how to throw it.
