Do you have a feeling of being left out and disconnected from everyone when you’re home, all alone on a completely frozen evening with nothing but a couch for company? You surely need to step up your social gear. Meet Jakob, an addition to your sofa that manages to get you all the company and communication needed to keep you company at home. It’s basically perches itself on the armrest of your sofa and allows you to record small sound clips that can be heard by those who left you in this lonely pit, later in the evening. Here’s yet another marvel spun out of electric yarn.

It’s a great way for parents to catch up with kids they never get to meet all day, thanks to hectic working schedules, deadlines, etc. Currently, Jakob is on display at the Attracz Lounge at the Dutch Design Week.
