Griffin Technology has unveiled the iTalkPro stereo microphone for 5G iPods. The mic fits at the bottom of the iPod and can be controlled via the onscreen menu without the need of controls on the microphone. It runs right off the batteries of the iPod, so you can record for about 3.5 hours on a fully charged 60GB iPod or 1.5 hours on a 30GB model before you drain all the juice. Recording is done in high bitrate WAV format which takes up a lot of space due to Apple's firmware. Twin internal microphones let you record at CD quality.

Griffin has not released a price or release date for the iTalkPro.
