A new 3D HD wireless prototype system that’s been designed by an Israeli company called Amimon Inc. was demoed recently and is capable of transmitting the format (3D HD) to other devices loaded with the same set up. The system uses a 5GHz band and the WHDI (wireless high-definition interface) high-speed wireless standard for the procedure. The idea of the company is to have this system embedded into TVs and then Blu-ray devices and others that support 3D HD formats to make it easier to transmit full HD videos (of 24fps) wirelessly. The TV and corresponding device will feature the company’s digital baseband chip and RF transceiver chips to facilitate the transfer.
