Is the iPhone 3GS HD ready? Maybe!

iPhone_3GS.jpg Well, there are very few things that Apple holds back from its fans when it comes to the iPhone. With the 3GS model displaying traits that have proved to overcome more than a single disadvantage of the original phone, we can see a new dimension of thought being put into play. There’s word that the 3GS may just be capable of playing back 1080p HD videos. A member of Weiphone claims that he managed to play a 1920 x 1080 pixel video at 30 fps @ 35 Mbps. That’s a real steal for iPhone users who would end up paying a few more dollars had this been mentioned on the device’s carton. The best part is that this ‘test’ wasn’t performed using any third party applications but the default iPhone player. This video(s) was copied manually using file transfer applications. Is this the fall-out of a mighty conspiracy in which Apple are deliberately disguising the true capabilities of the iPhone 3GS?

Maybe all iPhone users may not get these results on their respective devices. Or maybe this particular user just has a freak iPhone 3GS.
