Is it the iPad or the iSad...?
Why iHate the iPad, point iFive – iTunes? Here we go again –
One of the all time big issues with the any of Apple’s ‘i’ products is the fact that it’s locked in to iTunes. It’s annoying to the Nth degree. That means I’ll have to choose between my work and home computers as to which is a priority and sync the device to that PC. That also means I won’t be able to take my device to a buddies home and transfer any of his files. That also means I’m not going to buy this.
Why iHate the iPad, point iFour – Hey, where do I connect my hard drive? –
I keep thinking this is a normal device and keep forgetting Apple made it. It’s not a computer and it’s not an iPhone either so forget about connecting an external device to this for adding more data. No Hard drive and no memory cards. You’ll have transfer all your files through iTunes as all it has is Apple’s proprietary 30 pin connector.
Why iHate the iPad, point iThree – The Keyboard looks like the iPhones. But this is not a phone! -
The large display looks fantastic and incorporating multi-touch was definitely a good idea so naturally you’d think all functions to be optimised for this right? Wrong! The keypad is just a larger version of the iPhone’s which means not everything is on one screen and I’ll have to move from screen to screen for symbols and then more symbols. It’s ridiculous! And they’re making accessories with full keyboards that have everything in one space. What a waste of such a beautiful large screen.
Why iHate the iPad, point iTwo – I want to draw while I’m Facebooking? What?! I can’t?! -
One of the biggest facets that iPhone lacked, and we’ve been shouting this from the rooftops for years now, is that it doesn’t multitask. If Apple knew this, why not design a device that can cope and put that issue to rest? Why? Because Apple is Evil, that’s why! Ok I got carried away there. But seriously, we presumed this to be a Tablet PC which kind of implies we should be able to have multiple functions open simultaneously, which means switching between multiple open apps.
Why iHate the iPad, point iOne – Flash or no Flash? No Flash -
It’s just an oversized media player. Not even an oversized iPhone, just but the iPod Touch. Even the web browser on this model doesn’t have simple Flash support. It’s annoying that it has so much but forgets about the little things. God is in the details you know.
Sure it also has a few good points but the bad seem to outnumber them. This is just a big old iPod Touch and nothing more, a media device for those with big wallets. If I wanted a device that did all of this I’d just buy an iPhone, at least I can make calls with that.
