iRobot Roomba 500 series comes with double power

I personally consider this as a boon! Walk out of your messy, dirty home and return back in some time to find it dirt free. And all this is possible with a touch of a button….and of course a few hundred dollars too. Roomba (that’s the name) is among the most successful consumer robots ever made, having sold well over 2 million units. And iRobot's newly released 500 series is the first major revamp of the floorvac line since 2004. Nearly everything about this bot has improved for the best. Now it's stronger, quieter, and smarter and it is believed to last five times longer than its predecessor. The idea behind the new Roomba 500 series is to get Roomba accepted as a mainstream product. Having double the cleaning power of their predecessors, they can navigate around furniture, rugs, cords and tassels, and can free themselves from almost any household jam. These new techie cleaners have technology that prevents them from getting tangled up on rug tassels. They also know when they've finished cleaning one room, and then move on to the next! Smarter then Homo sapien aides!

They also slow down when approaching walls and furniture for gentler impact and quieter operation. As opposed to the earlier Roombas that ran at one speed and banged into walls and other obstacles. They also feature better brushes and suction for picking up more dirt and bigger objects, like kitty litter and small rocks. Having said enough of these robots, its time to come to theirs price tags, that is $249 to $399 (the 560 goes for $350, the 530 goes for $300).
