iPhone OS 3.0 revealed by Apple, to be in phones by June 17th

iphone3os.jpg There has been a fair share of buzz on this topic lately, but here’s something that’s got facts, figures and a lot more details about the all new iPhone OS 3.0. To start off with, there’s some considerable amount of neglect shown towards AT&T. That’s funny for some but I’m serious. It is not included among the 29 carriers who will provide MMS, instead it’s made for a while till it finds its place in the list. 22 carriers will provide support to the Bluetooth and USB features of the phone that are said to provide advanced connectivity to PCs and Macs. Cool new applications like the new improved Safari browser and ‘Find My iPhone’ can come in handy to most users who use the Internet or are just tad careful about their phone. Users can also rent and purchase movies and audio books using the new iPhone OS.

Though the iPhone OS 3.0 has a bit for everyone (besides, of course, AT&T) we can well expect even a few more surprises in store. However, the OS will make it into the phones by June 17th. Now that will give us a more realistic picture of it.
