Exhibiting tremendous amount of foresight, the Land Rover LRX concept features seamless integration of iPhone/ iPod connectivity. From the looks of it, there is a space in the center console where an iPhone can be inserted, effectively making it a part of the car's electronics. The clever design places the device at an angle so that the driver or passenger can easily operate the touch-screen interface, allowing hands-free phone calls, plus access to the music library, maps, email, the web, etc. However, Land Rover has not revealed the full extent of the integration, or whether the phone serves as the car's navigation system and jukebox.
Un-official images of the new Land Rover LRX concept have leaked online ahead of the crossover's official debut, thanks to several European magazines. The LRX will be on display next month at the Detroit auto show.
