To cut a long story short, a guy from Kansas has posted shots of an iPhone that came under a semi truck traveling at an estimated 70 miles-per-hour, and lived to tell the tale. Apparently the guy's iPhone still works flawlessly in every way; he can make and receive calls and send text messages. The iPhone flew off the trunk of his car at freeway speeds. He left the phone inadvertently on his trunk while filling up gas and only remembered after he was five minutes on the road. He tracked back and found the phone on the freeway ramp almost after an hour of losing it.

Cashing on the incident, it is believed (according to the man) that Apple customer relations have expressed interest in using the iPhone in a forthcoming TV commercial! Roll over for more pictures on this sturdy phone.
