iPhone 3G S faces it’s first major flaw: Overheating
There’s some boiling hot news/rumor/plot about the iPhone 3G S and for a change, it’s a negative. The highly praised iPhone 3G has been quite impressive in its latest rendition. The 3G S couldn’t get away from the tech paparazzi that are haunting our blogs for long. So, we have the problem of overheating that’s giving everyone a chance to vent out some steam that they hid behind their proud smiles. It is now common knowledge (that’s more factual than a rumor, according to the dictionary) that iPhones are heating up rapidly. Apple were literal when they said that the iPhone cannot function properly at temperatures between -20 to 45 degrees Celsius. In fact, they must have been overrating their phone since it’s said that the iPhone overheats even when placed in cars. Now that’s one mighty disappointment. Thanks to a safety switch though, the iPhone displays an alert every time the temperature thresholds are crossed.
Apple blamed all of this on the weather. Here’s what they had to say about it, "if the interior temperature of the device exceeds normal operating temperatures, you may experience the following as it attempts to regulate its temperature: the device stops charging, display dims, and/or weak cellular signal". Buy that?
