Imagine you are in a situation where there is no possibility of talking after dialing 911 because that could be the biggest threat to your life. Well now on you don’t have to worry about that because Iowa County has launched the Nation’s First 911 via text message. The service so far is only available to residents of Black Hawk County who subscribe to a T-Mobile service provider. Emergency text messages can be very helpful for deaf, hard-of-hearing or mute victims stuck in a very serious situation.
