Instant Ramen Inventor's Statue erected to mark 50th anniversary of creation

statue_of_instant_ramen.jpg Without my daily fix of ramen noodles I'm lost. I seriously don't know what I would have done if instant ramen inventor Momofuku Ando had failed in his endeavor and not come out with this tasty dish. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the noodle dish's creation, a statue of his was unveiled by his 90-year-old wife, Masako, and close friend and former Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone. The statue is placed outside Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum. The statue of Ando stands 3.5 meters tall; he is standing atop a dais shaped like an instant noodle cup while holding some instant chicken noodles in his right hand!
