The new subwoofers from Hong Kong based Infinity and JBL have a thing in common…both offer a wireless subwoofer. The Infinity PS212W is a 12" subwoofer with a 400-watt amplifier that features a built in wireless transceiver. The inclusive 2.4GHz transmitter hooks onto the preamp or receiver and sends signals to the subwoofer, with four selectable channels for "interference-free" operation. JBL’s Cinema Sound CSS10W uses the same system in a smaller 10" subwoofer with a 300-watt amplifier.

The Infinity PS212W retails for $679 and the JBL Cinema Sound CSS10W will be available January 2008 for $559.
