We’ve had enough of the limitations that we have faced with so called ‘multi-touch’ surfaces. Here’s something that’s truly multi-touch. What’s more is that it isn’t just a silly monitor or large display but a whole table, spanning a massive 100 inches. The table has 50 touch points that can be simultaneously used. It’s called the MT-50 and is developed by Ideum. With a resolution of 2,304 x 800, this 16:5 display can use the flash-based interface that lies beneath it.

The Ideum MT-50 was developed for the Space Chase Gallery at the Adventure Science Center at Nashville. Maybe this is what we will see in the arcades and gambling dens of the future.
