HTC Opal old wine in a new bottle

htc-opal.jpg The original HTC Touch is still an excellent handset that broke the mould for Pocket PC design; it did to the windows Mobile system, what the mouse did to computers. The phone was so small compared to the existing touch-screen devices, that it was able to make a mark for itself even among the iPhone frenzy. The next generation HTC Touch is here and is called the Opal featuring HTC TouchFLO 3D technology with some new cool shades and moves. It too runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro with the same TI OMAP 850 chip running at 200Mhz, why they did this, is something we could speculate as not to overshadow the HTC Diamond's specs.

The new HTC Opal features quad-band GPRS / EDGE with an Opera browser and a 2-megapixel camera listed along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a microSD card slot.
