Hitachi's WoooUT 770 series of LCD TV's are the first to support 'AKUTOBIRA' which is Japanese for video download. Due to start in December the service is more like video on demand, it supports MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 or 1080i format with an average bit rate of 10Mbps. The downloaded content is stored on the onboard HDD which can be later dubbed onto external devices like Blu-ray / DVD burners.
