Hitachi HMP-G1 MP3 player

Another DAP from the land of the rising sun this time from electronics giant Hitachi the HMP-G1 or i.µ's which is a pretty weird name for a MP3 player. It has onboard 1 GB Flash memory with no external slots for memory expansion. It supports MP3, WMA and WMA DRM 10 playback. It has a 128 x 64 pixel OLED display and supports upto 70 hours of Mic recording in mono however. It is basically an iPod shuffle with a display. The Lithium Polymer battery provides 12 hours of continuous playback time. It connects and charges via USB however it is compatible with Windows only.
The Hitachi HMP-G1 measures 80.7×29.8×14.3mm and weighs 36 grams. It will be available in Japan from December 8 for 12,000 Yen ($ 100)
