Griffin has unveiled their HELO TC helicopter, an iPhone-controlled rechargeable chopper chopper laced with LED and not to mention, the opportunity to be reminded how wonderful of being reminded how wonderful it was being a kid. The remote control sled here will settle into the standard headphone jack of your iPhone or iPod and then you just have to download their app from the iTunes store. The sled needs four AAA batteries to go live and kicking, and will last for around 8 minutes of flight on a single charge.

There are two modes of flight available and the app can also store up to three flight plans which can used for use in future. This R/C toy is presently available for $49.99 and comes with spare rotor blades in case you have one of those crash landings. Hopefully the Android revolution will dawn upon Griffin soon and we'll have an Android equivalent of this one in near future.
