GPS Powered Target Locator for the US army
The US army will still make sure that their soldiers are well located and well traced. Thanks to the cool lightweight, handheld laser target locater systems that are on the way to empower soldiers with GPS and other technologies that will give soldiers a head-on advantage against enemies. The device is called the Laser Target Locator Module (LTLM). It uses a direct view optic system with a night vision camera, a GPS receiver and a digital compass among other helpful tools.
British BAE Systems have been given the contract to churn out $42 million into as many of these as possible. In spite of all these things on them, the locator systems weigh just 5.5 pounds.
