Google’s very mysterious countdown timer has been popping up all over the blogs and websites with no one offering a very clear view on what it’s counting down to. It’s obvious, from even my usually askew calculations, that it’s counting down to the new year, 2010. Of course it could be their countdown to world domination as well. But haven’t they done that already? There’s a lot of speculation going around from it being – the countdown to the possible launch of a first edition Chrome device to the first Google Phone or some other technology. Needless to say we’re all very curious and Google isn’t being very forthcoming with the clues. To see it for yourself, go to Google’s homepage and hit the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ button, no search required and there you’ll see the ominous digits slowly winding down. It’s all very cloak and dagger.
